OTTAWA SCENERY PROJECT
Like most of my projectss, this one is on-going. Always in construction and requiring constant updating. Since Ottawa is my hometown and because I just happen to work there, careful attention to building structure, design and placement is being undertaken. So far the project includes Ottawa/Carp, Ottawa/McDonald Cartier International and Rockliffe. Ottawa/Gatineau will also be added to the project along with some smaller airports such as Winchester and Embrun/Russell. As usual I am working off Jeppesen plates, Canadian VFR Navigation Charts and topographical maps. The runways and navaids are all accurate to the current Canada Flight Supplement appropriate to the date of the scenery file. This secenery seves two purposes. One is an accurate portrayal of the Ottawa area and to secondly provide a smooth flying environment within Flight Simulator 98 geared to commercial aviation standards. The scenery macros are levelled by density allowing a broad range of users. This scenery is being designed to be compatible with the Northeast Scenery activated or de-activated. There is little change either way to the frame rates here as there is very little detail in the area to start with. I generally run with the default off since the river in the default is not in the right place. |

Sceneries should be in their own folder and contain a separate folder for scenery or texture.
You need to install VOD Textures 3.0 into your main FlightSim Texture directory.
